PawPair SafeMeet™ Safety Guidelines & Liability Waiver

PawPair SafeMeet™ is a feature of PawPair HQ™ designed to help users coordinate in-person meetings related to pet adoptions, purchases, breeding discussions, and other legitimate interactions. PawPair SafeMeet™ provides tools designed to support planning, identity awareness, documentation, and safer in-person connections. It cannot eliminate risk or guarantee another user’s conduct.
PawPair HQ does not organize, supervise, monitor, inspect, or guarantee any meeting, participant, animal, location, or transaction. Participation in SafeMeet is voluntary and at your own risk. By scheduling, attending, or participating in a SafeMeet, you agree to these Safety Guidelines and Liability Waiver.
1. Purpose of PawPair SafeMeet™
PawPair SafeMeet™ is intended to:
- Help users schedule meetings
- Improve communication
- Encourage safe meeting practices
- Promote transparency
- Reduce fraud through verified user interactions
PawPair SafeMeet™ is not a security service.
2. User Responsibility
Each participant is solely responsible for:
- Deciding whether to meet
- Choosing the meeting location
- Choosing the meeting time
- Evaluating the other participant
- Inspecting any animal
- Inspecting documents
- Completing any transaction
- Following applicable laws
You are never required to attend a meeting.
3. Recommended Safe Meeting Practices
PawPair HQ strongly recommends that users follow these practices.
Meet in Public
Whenever possible, meet in:
- Veterinary clinics
- Animal hospitals
- Grooming facilities
- Pet supply stores
- Community centers
- Police-designated exchange zones
- Well-lit public places
Avoid isolated or unfamiliar locations whenever practical.
Bring Another Adult
When possible:
- Bring a trusted friend
- Bring a family member
- Inform someone where you are going
- Share your expected return time
Verify Identity
Before meeting:
- Review the user's profile
- Review verification badges
- Ask questions
- Confirm appointment details
Verification does not guarantee identity, honesty, safety, or conduct.
Inspect the Animal Carefully
Before completing any transaction:
- Observe the animal's behavior
- Review available health records
- Ask questions
- Review vaccination information
- Review contracts
- Request additional documentation if needed
Never Rush
Do not allow yourself to feel pressured into:
- Immediate payment
- Immediate breeding decisions
- Immediate transfers
- Signing contracts without reading them
Take the time you need to make informed decisions.
Protect Personal Information
Do not unnecessarily share:
- Social Security numbers
- Driver license numbers
- Financial account numbers
- Passwords
- Verification codes
Use caution when sharing your home address.
Use Secure Payment Methods
If exchanging money:
- Obtain receipts
- Review contracts
- Confirm payment amounts
- Avoid suspicious payment requests
4. Animals
Animals are living creatures whose behavior can be unpredictable. Participants acknowledge that animals may become frightened, bite, scratch, escape, become ill, or react unexpectedly. Users assume responsibility for safely handling animals during meetings.
5. Children
PawPair HQ recommends that young children not attend meetings unless necessary. Children should always remain under adult supervision.
6. Transportation
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, transporting animals safely, using appropriate carriers or restraints, and complying with local transportation laws.
7. Breeding Meetings
When meetings involve breeding arrangements, participants remain solely responsible for:
- Breeding decisions
- Veterinary care
- Fertility evaluation
- Genetic testing
- Contracts
- Pregnancy outcomes
- Stud fees
- Artificial insemination
- Timing
- Health decisions
PawPair HQ does not supervise or evaluate breeding practices.
8. Adoption and Purchase Meetings
Before accepting an animal, users should independently evaluate health, temperament, veterinary documentation, vaccination records, registration documents, and contract terms. PawPair HQ does not inspect animals before placement.
9. Fraud Awareness
Users should exercise caution if another participant:
- Requests payment before providing agreed documentation
- Refuses reasonable questions
- Refuses to meet
- Requests unusual payment methods
- Uses inconsistent information
- Pressures immediate decisions
- Requests sensitive personal information
- Uses multiple identities
If something feels suspicious, end the interaction and report the user.
10. Emergencies
If you believe you are in immediate danger, leave the area if it is safe to do so, contact local emergency services, and seek medical or veterinary assistance as appropriate. PawPair SafeMeet™ is not an emergency response service.
11. Reporting Concerns
Users should report fraud, harassment, threats, animal welfare concerns, misrepresentation, unsafe conduct, fake identities, and suspicious behavior. Reports may result in investigation, suspension, or account removal.
12. No Guarantee
PawPair HQ makes no guarantees regarding meeting safety, user identity, user honesty, animal health, animal temperament, animal ownership, breeding outcomes, pregnancy, registration, transactions, payment, contracts, transportation, or user conduct. Verification badges indicate only that certain information or documentation has been submitted and reviewed.
13. Assumption of Risk
By participating in SafeMeet, you acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, animal injury, animal illness, property damage, financial loss, theft, fraud, contract disputes, transportation incidents, and emotional distress. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
14. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and discharge PawPair HQ, its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and agents from any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to SafeMeet participation, in-person meetings, user interactions, animal handling, animal behavior, transactions, payments, contracts, transportation, injuries, illness, property damage, fraud, misrepresentation, or criminal acts by third parties. This release applies whether the claim is based on negligence (to the extent permitted by law), contract, tort, or any other legal theory. Nothing in this waiver limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PawPair HQ, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your participation in SafeMeet, your conduct, your animal, your transactions, your violation of applicable law, or your breach of PawPair HQ policies or agreements.
16. User Conduct
During SafeMeet, participants agree to:
- Behave respectfully
- Follow applicable laws
- Handle animals responsibly
- Avoid harassment or intimidation
- Avoid threatening conduct
- Respect property rights
- Leave immediately if asked by a property owner or manager
17. Platform Rights
PawPair HQ may:
- Suspend PawPair SafeMeet™ access
- Remove users from the Platform
- Investigate reports
- Request additional verification
- Cooperate with law enforcement when legally required or appropriate
PawPair HQ is not obligated to investigate every report or dispute.
18. Changes
PawPair HQ may revise these Safety Guidelines and Liability Waiver periodically. Continued use of SafeMeet after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
19. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising under this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arizona.

Participant Acknowledgment
By selecting "I Agree," scheduling a SafeMeet, or participating in a SafeMeet, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understand these Safety Guidelines and Liability Waiver.
- You understand that PawPair SafeMeet™ provides planning and documentation tools only and cannot eliminate risk.
- You voluntarily assume all risks associated with meeting another user and interacting with animals.
- You understand that PawPair HQ does not inspect, supervise, certify, endorse, guarantee, or monitor participants, animals, meeting locations, or transactions.
- You agree to release PawPair HQ from liability to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
PawPair HQ is a technology and connection platform. PawPair HQ is not a breeder, seller, broker, veterinarian, transporter, trainer, genetic testing provider, or insurer. PawPair HQ does not guarantee breeders, users, animals, health, temperament, fertility, breeding outcomes, pregnancy, litter size, registration, pedigree, transactions, payments, or user behavior, and is not a party to any agreement or transaction between users. PawPair HQ does not provide veterinary, legal, genetic, financial, or professional advice.
