Pet Information

Users are responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted.

Verification Information

Breeders may provide documentation including government-issued identification, business licenses, facility records, registration certificates, veterinary documentation, insurance documentation, professional memberships, and other verification documents. Verification documents are used solely for account verification, fraud prevention, and platform administration.

Communications

We collect information related to messages exchanged through the Platform, SafeMeet requests, support inquiries, applications, reviews, and reports submitted by users.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, device identifiers, session information, usage activity, referring website, pages visited, search activity, and approximate location derived from IP address.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, session cookies, persistent cookies, analytics tools, pixel tags, local storage, and similar technologies to remember user preferences, improve Platform performance, analyze usage, prevent fraud, and enhance security. We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, verify breeder identities, process verification requests, operate the marketplace, display breeder profiles, process applications, facilitate messaging, schedule SafeMeet requests, prevent fraud, detect duplicate accounts, improve user experience, maintain security, respond to customer support requests, enforce our Terms of Service, comply with legal obligations, and develop new features and services.

4. Public Information

Certain information may be visible to other users, including display name, public breeder profile, breeding program name, city and state, public photos, listings, reviews, verification badges, and profile descriptions.

The following information is not publicly displayed:

• Government identification
• Full street address
• Date of birth
• Personal email address
• Personal phone number
• Verification documents
• Internal administrator notes
• Payment information

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

With other users: We share information to facilitate marketplace interactions.

With service providers: We may share information with providers who assist with cloud hosting, identity verification, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, customer support, fraud detection, and security monitoring. These providers may only use information as necessary to provide services to PawPair HQ.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, protect the safety of users, investigate fraud, or enforce our agreements.

Business transactions: If PawPair HQ is acquired, merged, reorganized, or sells substantially all of its assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Verification documents receive enhanced protection. Identity documents are stored securely, accessible only to authorized personnel, never displayed publicly, and never shared with other users without your explicit consent or as required by law. Verification badges indicate only that certain information or documentation has been submitted and reviewed. They do not represent certification or endorsement.

7. Messaging

Messages exchanged through the Platform may be stored to deliver conversations, investigate disputes, detect fraud, enforce community standards, and improve Platform functionality. Users should not send highly sensitive personal or financial information through Platform messaging.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, access controls, authentication requirements, role-based permissions, secure storage of sensitive documents, and audit logging. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Some information may remain in backup systems for a limited period after deletion.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link or your account settings. Administrative communications regarding your account or the Platform cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.

The Platform is operated from the United States. Users outside the United States acknowledge that information may be transferred to and processed within the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions become effective upon posting. The Effective Date and Version number will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
